New SAT: Preparation for the English, Reading & Writing Sub-tests
recommended for grades 8-10
This class helps to prepare students for the verbal portion of the SAT, which has recently been adopted as part of Michigan’s public school curriculum. Covering timed essays and the multiple-choice sub-tests in English and reading, it is designed to acquaint students with the test format and to help them discover what concepts or skills they need to practice before taking the actual exam. Students study lessons in grammar and comprehension, practice problem types, take real SAT timed tests, formulate test strategies, write essays, and complete homework assignments to develop test-taking skills.
