Writing Camp: SAT Essay
recommended for grades 8-10
This writing camp helps students prepare for the SAT essay, a test of their ability to compose rhetorical analysis. The essay task is deconstructed and explained, rhetorical devices taught, and parts of the essay formulated and practiced. Students write six real SAT timed tests, one per session, and receive simulated scores and feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of their essays.
July 23-28 (6 sessions–limited to 10 students)
